“You are not a beautiful unique snowflake…This is your life and it is ending one minute at a time.”

Why Chuck Palahnuik is America’s instrument of the people’s thoughts –

I am not sure if Chuck is 21st poet or an idealist but his assessment of America is right on the mark. If you don’t believe me then read his writings and watch Fight Club and stay tuned for all of his upcoming films, or rather books that will be turned into films. In his books, Chuck has an uncanny knack of being able to dissect our pop-cultural obsessions, materialistic self-involvement and put it right there in front of your face, in a gritty, “no-holds” barred method that leaves you both in awe and inspired at the same time. Dissecting our “insanity” is something we must do as Americans lest we actually start taking ourselves seriously. For much more on

Chuck’s work please visit these websites:

P.S. I am not affiliated or endorsed by Mr. Palahnuik, just damn happy there is at least one writer out there telling it how it is!

The madness of Surrealistic Realism.

My pride and joy is my artwork. Above all else it is my hope and strong desire to become one of the leading Indian artists of the world before my time is up. Ok I said it, now I cannot take it back now.
Please do browse through my online gallery here and the links to galleries who have been gracious enough to house my artwork. I am always looking for feedback, and subject matter and material for my next series. If you have any such suggestions please add a comment. Good AND bad critiques are always wanted.
As I teach art history courses, I always teach my students, art is not necessarily about what you like or don’t like “art inspires a reaction”. I hope my artwork inspires a reaction for you.

Email me if you are interested in purchasing any of my artwork or finding out anything specific about the art I have on my blogsite…

In addition to everything else, I am a writer, editor and Art Director on Hollywood Masala online. One of the premiere resources for South Asian Entertainment in the United States of America. Please do visit the website often and let me know your thoughts on our articles. Following up on my rants here about film, on Hollywood Masala I also engage in the crossover Indian films that release in the USA, not tot mention the thriving energy behind Bollywood and Indian Art House cinema.

Incessant ramblings of films?

What you will get here is pure unadulterated analysis of world cinema, and the reasons why I increasingly believe that world cinema is overall better than American cinema. But this is not to say that all world cinema falls into this category. However there are those rare few works of visual art that deserve to be lauded and praised as genius for there are films and filmmakers working in our turbulent times that still do subscribe to the creating masterpieces on celluloid. You may also catch films that I speak in detail here that I in fact incorporate into my training curriculum as an art instructor currently. I welcome the opportunity to interact with all of you aficionados of film to engage in healthy discussions with me even if you are one of the unfortunate few who disagree. J
